FAQ
Questions, answered.
Plain-language answers to what property owners ask us most.
How do I know which type of survey I need?
Start with your goal — buying property, finding a line, designing a site, or starting construction. Our Service Finder walks you through it in about a minute, or you can simply describe the project in the quote form.
How much does a survey cost?
Price depends on the type of survey, size, record complexity, vegetation, terrain, access, deadlines and requested deliverables. We quote the specific scope.
How long does a survey take?
Research, crew scheduling, site conditions and drafting all affect timing. Share your closing, permit or construction deadline early.
What is a boundary survey?
A boundary survey uses deeds, plats, monuments and field evidence to determine property line locations and document them as scoped.
Is an ALTA survey the same as a residential boundary survey?
No. ALTA/NSPS surveys have specific title-related standards and coordination requirements, commonly used for commercial property.
Does everyone in a flood zone need an Elevation Certificate?
No. Requirements vary. Ask your insurer, lender or floodplain administrator whether one is needed for your situation.
Which areas do you serve?
We work from Escambia County east to Lafayette County across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend, and into southeast Alabama, including Houston, Henry, and Geneva counties. Outside that area? Ask — we travel for larger projects.
Know exactly where your lines are.
Tell us about your property and we’ll reply with a firm quote — usually within one business day.
